The Path of Practice Yoga Immersion Program: 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training


For serious Ashtanga Practitioners, those who are interested in deepening their yoga studies or interested in being a yoga teacher.

You will learn:
Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers: Sutra Study, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, and Ayuveda etc.

Anatomy and Physiology:
Both human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.). Includes both the study of the subject and application of its principles to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc).

Techniques Training in asana, pranayama, chanting, mantra, bandhas, meditation, and other traditional yoga techniques including how to teach and practice asanas and guided practice of the techniques themselves. A large emphasis will be on hands-on adjustments and effectively verbalizing what we practice.

Standing, balancing, seated, twists, hip openers, backbends, inversions and restorative poses. Also therapeutic applications of asanas, basic pre-natal yoga and sequencing will be discussed.

Teaching Methodology:
Principles of demonstration, observation, assisting and correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student's process of learning and business aspects of teaching yoga.

25-Hour Practicum:
Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and hearing and giving feedback. Also includes assisting students while someone else is teaching.

Program Fees:

early bird: $2600 due upon application acceptance

$2800 post acceptance, before May 1, 2016 

$3000 if registered after May 1, 2016 or if a payment plan is needed (payment plan available)

$1300 if you have already taken YTT at Green Lotus Yoga Studio

Apprenticeship Program

Our apprenticeship program has been designed for serious Ashtanga practioners who want to deepen their yoga practice, their understanding of yoga and develop their teaching and assisting skills in preparation for our teacher training program. Apprenticeship is free, with a one-year commitment to practice at the shala 6-days per week, with monthly or yearly shala fees, and assist in classes, 1x per week for  1-2 years.  If you wish for a Green Lotus Yoga teaching certificate with Yoga Alliance, prices are above. This program is suspended and TBA at a later date.
